O2 Price Increase

O2 are contacting customers to advise that their bills will increase in April in accordance with the network’s latest inflation price rise.
Prices will rise by 2.5% aligned with December’s rate of inflation and will affect all pay monthly customers. For Those customers on O2 refresh, the price will only affect their airtime plan.
The price increase will not affect pay as you go customers.
Telecommunications companies can impose mid-contract price rises as a clause in customers terms and conditions advise about potential increases in line with the Retail Prices Index. Customers should review their terms and conditions to ascertain if they will be affected.
For O2 Customers this is normally stated within terms and conditions as follows:
“Charges/Price Increases – Each year your Monthly Subscription Charges will be subject to an annual adjustment by the RPI Rate. RPI (or retail Price Index) is a measure of inflation published by the Office of National Statistics. It measures the change in the cost of a sample of retail goods and services. This adjustment could be an increase or a decrease and the adjusted amount will first appear on your April bill.”
