Faro Airport
Looks great, and arrivals very easy to find your way out to car hire and transfer area. Departures staff are friendly and professional; however very busy, layout is confusing, and quite slow even during quiet periods.
Arrival at Faro is quite good and well signposted with good facilities. Departure is more challenging. Airport security is slow and not as efficient as it should be including not enough security channels open leading to large queues of people. Retail outlets are fine although food and beverages are quite expensive. Departure boards are readily visible and the airport departure area facilities are well signposted. Due to the slow security processing make sure you arrive in plenty of time to allow for this.
Good facilities, car hire straight forward but security very slow, leave plenty of time!
Following refurbishment slightly confusing as you would have went directly through to security after check in the past, now check in at a different level in airport. Straight forward once we figured out where security was!
